OnTrackMedia Indonesia
is a local NGO that empowers people through the media.  
We have been approached
to run a workshop to train NGOs how to film and edit so they can use these
skills for project documentation and enhanced public awareness raising.  
To keep the costs low,
we are trying to increase the number of participants.  
We are therefore
offering extra places starting at just IDR 2.5 MILLION for each participant for
the FIVE day course. 
Participants will learn
how to film simple sequences up to professional standards.  
They will also learn
basic editing so they can assemble the pictures into small videos or features. 
You should bring your
own video camera and laptop for editing.

the training equipment at an additional cost.
This course is ideal for
anyone who wants to provide video documentation of project goals and successes
to funders or illustrate project methodology.  
It can also be used to

November 1st-4th; 7th-11th or 14th to 18

The French Red Cross (FRC) is part of the global Red Cross / Red
Crescent Movement and is present in Indonesia at the invitation of the
Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) since 26 December 2004 tsunami in Nanggroe
Aceh Darussalam
 and Nias Island.

Since the very first days after the disaster, FRC has been active in
emergency respond and support wide range activities including the
rehabilitation of infrastructure and reconstruction of housing, school
and health facilities.

In collaboration with Netherland Red Cross, French Red Cross also
supports PMI for emergency respond during Padang earthquake in 2009.

In the field of long-term development, FRC has broadened its commitment
to contribute to the efforts towards the reinforcement of disaster
management capacity in Indonesia.

FRC is supporting Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) to implement an
Integrated Community Based Risk Reduction (ICBRR) Programme in West
Sumatera Province.

Within this overall framework, FRC is currently seeking a Senior Program
Officer for the ICBRR programme.

Key tasks and responsibilities

- Responsible for monitoring the PMI in the management and
implementation of the ICBRR Programme in West Sumatera.

- Supports and advises the PMI (HQ, province and district
level) on programme management, with priority for the running activities
related to ICBRR Programme.

- Review submitted proposals/work plans submitted by the PMI,
evaluating them for soundness of programme's strategy and adequacy
of programme's administrative guideline

- (Based on the above) Prepare and present funding
recommendations for any activities proposed by implementing partners to
Head of Delegation

- Provide technical assistance to the PMI including conducting
orientation sessions, convening and leading workshops, roundtable
discussions/meeting and monitoring of activities as per agreed proposals
and/or work plans

- Review and compile reports from the PMI and provide
recommendations to Head of Delegation

- Technical support for the development of programme's exit
strategy, ensuring that the outputs of the programme are adequately
sustained within the support from the PMI.

- Ensure effective information-sharing and good collaboration
with local, national and international DM counterparts

- Produce accurate, regular and timely reports for the French
Red Cross (weekly, monthly) and ensure that clear information about the
programme is regularly made available

- Produce final reports that includes appropriate archiving of
all programme's documentations.

- Maintains good relationships with partners and donors.

- Upon request facilitates missions of representatives of FRC,
donors, partners, external consultants.

- Represents FRC in Disaster Management coordination meetings
with other partners or organizations within and outside the Red Cross
Movement.

- Develops and follows up on project agreements/MoUs in
collaboration with FRC HQ.

- Perform other tasks as required by the FRC Head of
Delegation, especially in the event of disaster.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
University degree in relevant discipline (Social Science, Development,
or other relevant fields). Master Degree is preferred.

Experience:

Experience in the field of DRR required

3 -5 years experience in the field of Disaster preparedness.

Significant experience in participatory and strategic planning, and
review techniques

Significant experience in program monitoring and evaluation

Experience with International Development or Relief or related
professional experience.

Experience in producing written documentation for technical and non
technical audiences
Experience working with Red Cross movements is an advantage

International experience is an advantage

Skills:

Excellent knowledge in working with program and monitoring tools such as
LFA

Good skill in proposal writing

Excellent knowledge of budget planning and reporting

Excellent communication skills both in Bahasa and English, in oral and
written;

Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office;

Strong analytical skills;

Strong communication an interpersonal skills

Skills in analysis, research and development of IEC material is an
advantage

Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Support the PMI with planning and technical guidance for emergency health/public health response to PMI emergency operations in Indonesia, (assessments, interventions, early recovery and monitoring & evaluation). This covers a proactive role to the PMI emergency health services such as emergency clinical/medical services, surveillance and communicable diseases prevention,  psychosocial support, food and nutrition (dapur umum) and possibly reproductive health initiative.
2. In the event of a disaster, support PMI assessment, planning, implementation and co-ordination of emergency operations as directed by the delegation.  Also assist PMI to establish links within the context of the International Federation regional and global response mechanisms (FACT, RDRT, ERU) and determine the best use of such tools and resources, as required
3. Support the PMI with emergency health trends within Indonesia or SEA region. This will require engagement with Ministry of Health and other International Organizations, UN organizations and agencies, NGOs and relevant academic institutions. 
4. Assist PMI in providing emergency health orientation/training to PMI local staff and volunteers, Federation and PNSs staff as and when required. This also require technical guidance to provide proper equipment to PMI medical action team.
5. Ensure that the delivery of coordinated, appropriate and effective IFRC supported response and early recovery programming makes full use of the National Society network to achieve greatest impact.
6. Work with PMI to maintain an up to date database on potential temporary staff and volunteers for deployment during emergencies. This needs a review to the current capacities of PMI medical action and PSS team. 
7. Support the PMI to plan, assess or give training of community-based health program/project across Indonesia. This covers also supporting the PMI to link their CBHFA and ICBRR tool.
8. Support the PMI to plan, assess or give training of PMI malaria, dengue, HIVAIDS project across Indonesia
9. Support the PMI to their first aid skill development. This also include to advocate the Federation global road safety partnership.
10. Coordinate with PMI in developing appropriate work plans and programs in the line with the Federation  S2020 and PMI strategic Plan. This needs a close coordination Federation regional and zone office.
11. Ensuring that the linkages with disaster risk reduction and development programming (to build community safety and resilience) are integrated into response and early recovery activities, tools and standard operating procedures. 
12. Doing paper works and monitoring of funds transferred to PMI and visit the project areas as and when necessary as part of monitoring and evaluation framework. 
13. Maintain accountability and actively responsible to delegated authority of signing some amount of funds according to IFRC finance and procurement procedure
14. Preparing accurate and timely reports in accordance with Federation guidelines

Youth as Agents of Behavioral Change
Norwegian Red Cross (NorCross) has been working in collaboration with Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia / PMI) since December 2004 after the Tsunami struck Indonesia. In Aceh  PMI and NorCross successfully implemented a Youth Mental Health and Character Building pilot project in the period 2008-2010. NorCross and PMI are now looking to expand the project to Central and East Java Provinces with title Youth as Agents of Behavioral Change (YABC). NorCross is therefore looking for qualified and committed candidates to fill the position as Project Manager for this Project. The candidate will be based in Jakarta but will be expected to travel frequently to the areas of project implementation. 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1.     Work closely together with PMI to plan, manage, implement, and evaluate the Youth Project;
2.     Manage the financial resources for the Project;
3.     Ensure the participation of all relevant PMI counterparts at the NHQ, province, and district levels throughout the project cycle, with emphasis on an integrated approach and the inclusion of cross-cutting themes (i.e.: Gender, Social Inclusion, a Culture of Non-Violence and Peace);
4.     Provide technical support to PMI at all levels to ensure implementation is in line with PMI Strategic Plans, the Federation Strategy 2020, NorCross plans, and government policy;
5.     Strengthen partnerships and networking with all relevant stakeholders, such as local and central government, NGOs/INGOs, universities/schools, and the corporate sector;
6.     Support counterparts to influence policy and practice at the national level that can impact positively on youth development and reduce violence and anti-stigma & discrimination;
7.     Coordinate with the RC/RC Movement Partners (PMI, IFRC, ICRC, & PNSs) on initiatives related to the Project;
8.     Work closely with the PMI to establish a resource mobilization strategy to ensure the sustainability of the Project. 
 
Competencies:
·         Minimum Bachelor degree in Psychology, Health, and/or Social Sciences.
